In this course, you will use a Jupyter Notebook to create a Python script for automated data transfer in a step-by-step process. We will interact with the Coscine projects and resources using the Coscine Python SDK. In the end, you will have the foundations to create your own scripts to automate your data workflows, enabling you to transfer data and metadata from a local computer or server to Coscine. In the preliminary stages of the colloquium, there have already been several lectures on getting started with RDM, so the lecture on Coscine offers a good opportunity to gain deeper insights into the storage of (meta)data, collaboration with other researchers or the archiving of research data.

After the official end of the RDM workshop, there will also be a Q&A session on Coscine, where you can ask any questions you may have about Coscine.

The NFDI4Ing project Measure Metadata and Terminology Services addresses the problem of ambiguity in data management and provides a comprehensive service offering that facilitates the use of subject- and application-specific standardized metadata and their integration into engineering-specific workflows. It also provides services for creating, sharing, and reusing application-specific metadata profiles, as well as a terminology service that enables researchers and infrastructure providers to access, maintain, and update terminologies.
