The migration of all Coscine projects has been underway since the beginning of July 2025: The previous storage system, Research Data Storage (RDS), is being completely replaced by DataStorage.nrw. Step by step, all Coscine projects are therefore being transferred to the new system.
To date, around 2.1 PB of research data out of a total of 2.5 PB has been successfully migrated. Of more than 1.400 projects, only three remain for manual adjustments. We currently expect the migration to be completed by the end of the year at the latest. Further information on the process can be found in our documentation.
